I am a Rangers Fan. Have been since I moved to Texas. However there is an element of baseball that I don't see in my favorite ballpark in Arlington.
FANS!!!
O we have people fill our seats, and there are some who show up who care about the game. But the level of engagement of fans in the game pales in comparison. Hamilton had it right when he said we were not a baseball town. Watch a game in a west coast, or east coast stadium and just feel the difference in the atmosphere.
I didn't fully realize this until I went to an OAKLAND vs BOSTON game while in California this past year. The coliseum is nothing to right home about, but the fans were in the game. We sat out in the bleachers and everyone was "in the game!"
This will not change my devotion to my beloved Rangers, but I do miss the "Baseball Environment" - Go Rangers!
